Visitation Policy
Time with family, friends, and other loved ones is an important part of feeling at home. Golden Life Care welcomes these connections and is committed to protecting residents’ visitation rights while maintaining a safe, comfortable environment for everyone.
Visitation Hours
9:00 AM – 9:00 PM daily, at a minimum.
Visitation may extend beyond these hours when appropriate based on a resident’s circumstances, needs, or preferences. Please speak with our staff about extended visits. Our visitation policy respects residents’ statutory visitation rights.
Resident Visitation Rights
Residents have the right to receive visitors in accordance with applicable Florida law. Golden Life Care will not unnecessarily restrict a resident’s right to receive visitors and respects each resident’s choices about visits.
Residents may have consensual physical contact with their visitors.
Essential Caregivers
Residents may designate an Essential Caregiver, such as a family member, friend, guardian, or other individual, when applicable.
Essential caregivers are provided at least two additional hours of in-person visitation daily beyond regular visitation hours, as required by applicable Florida requirements. Staff can assist with designation and visitation arrangements.
Infection Control & Visitor Education
Golden Life Care may maintain reasonable infection-control practices to help protect residents, visitors, and staff. Visitors should follow applicable hygiene and infection-control procedures. Staff will explain the procedures that apply and provide appropriate visitor education when necessary.
Safety-related visitation procedures will be consistent with applicable law and will not be more stringent than those established for facility staff.
Screening & Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Visitors may be asked to follow applicable screening or PPE procedures when those measures are appropriate and permitted by law. Staff will explain any applicable measures and how to follow them while respecting residents’ visitation rights.
Vaccination Requirements
Golden Life Care does not require proof of vaccination as a condition of visitation.
Number and Length of Visits
Golden Life Care supports meaningful access to visitors while considering resident care, safety, privacy, and the rights of other residents. Staff are available to help coordinate visits around individual needs and preferences.
Any limitations on the number of visitors, length of visits, or frequency of visits must be consistent with applicable Florida requirements and residents’ visitation rights.
Staff Responsibility & Compliance
Golden Life Care administration and designated staff are responsible for ensuring that facility staff understand and follow this visitation policy. Staff are available to assist residents, families, caregivers, and visitors with questions about visitation procedures.
